The result is the shortest whole body magnet available. Tallahassee Health Imaging has also installed a Siemens Emotion 16 slice CT scanner. This system combines superior image quality with rapid exam times as a tremendous tool for both health care provider and patient. Your health care provider may prescribe a CT scan to aid in his/her diagnosis of a condition such as differentiating calcification from gas, as with the initial evaluation of inflammatory disease or abscess. It is also preferred for grading or staging some fractures, and diagnosing motion disorders such as tremors and spasms.
